Wendy joins The Idea School with over 20 years of experience in the field of Special Education. She has worked for the last 15 years at RYNJ as a learning specialist, making the curriculum and class experience accessible to children with a variety of skill sets. Wendy’s strong partnership with parents and collaboration with teachers has led to the myriad of social, emotional and academic successes of her students.
Wendy earned her Masters in Special Education, with a focus in Learning Disabilities, from Hunter College as well as her Bachelors in Psychology from Stern College. She has also been trained by Hidden Sparks as a mentor, skillfully supporting and guiding teachers in their appreciation for their students’ unique learning profiles and how that impacts instruction. Prior to her experience at RYNJ, she held positions at Yeshivat Noam, Moriah, and SINAI Schools.
